What if I feel hungry during the program?
Our program is designed to ensure that your blood sugars are kept stable as it is when these drop that we experience hunger. This is achieved by serving the juices every 3 hours throughout the day, and unlimited vegetable broth in the evenings. Most people are surprised by how easy it is for them to adapt and love not having to think about food at all for a while.

Am I able to bring my computer and do some work?
Yes! A lot of people decide to have a digital detox but if you need to remain accessible there is internet at the property.

What if I am taking medication?
Please speak to your GP before participating in our program if you have concerns. Generally, if medications need to be taken with food, we provide our participants with some yogurt to take their medications with.

Should I still take my supplements?
This is a personal preference, the juices and broth are full of nutrients and the body does amazing things to heal itself when we create the right environment for it to do so.

Do I have to participate in all activities?
No! facilitating an environment for you to rest and reset is our priority, all activities are optional.

Does the program suit me if I am a Vegan?
Yes, the juice detox is completely vegan by default, the broth and breakfast on the final morning are also vegan.

What is included with the Hazeldene Suite room upgrade?
The suite is at the end of the building with more expansive views and larger verandah area, larger room and the bathroom has a bath which is not included in the other rooms.

How should I best prepare for a detox program?
Once you register for one of our programs, we provide you with preparation recommendations. These usually include cutting down on caffeine, sugar and alcohol for the weeks prior as these are the antagonists that most contribute to headaches during the detoxification process.

What is the difference between a juice fast and the smoothies I make for myself at home?
The objective of a juicing/broth only protocol is to allow the digestive system to completely rest and restore. By removing the fibre and pulp from the fruit and vegetables, the nutrients bypass the digestive system. Although fibre is important, the benefits of a supervised fast a few times a year can be integral to optimising the digestive process in the big picture.
